Marine Pollution- What if we did nothing to stop it?

What if we did nothing to stop it?

If we didn't do anything to stop marine pollution then probably in the next few years a lot more of our beaches will have to be closed. Since they will be overwhelmingly dirty with trash and dead marine life. Ones that were starved of oxygen and nutrients from the water.

Marine pollution- What is happening now to stop it?

What is happening now?

Scientists in Oregon are studying the harmful effects that things like cigarrettes can do to sea turtles who eat them. Which is that they get the feeling of fullness right after because of the ingredients in the cigarrette. Causing them to have malnutrition, starvation, and then death. Also in some cases sea turtles going to the beach have been seen with large tumors on them.

Marine Pollution causes/ effects

Marine Pollution Causes/ effects

The causes are when like fisherman leave either their nets or fishing line in the water. The effect is that it can catch  marine life in it and then kill them because of suffication or cutting off one of their vital body parts. Garbage is another cause because it is from us and all our food items, or anything else that is in plastic or etc. The effect on marine life is that they might think that it is food and accidentally eat it. Also our sewage is dumped in their without being treated. Killing marine life becase it takes out some of the oxygen and nutrients from the water.
